PR-01 Pre Amplifier
Radically reduced design, attention to detail and extensive listening trials make the PR-01 preamplifier an exceptional instrument for both enjoying and understanding music – minimalism follows consequence.
The Preamplifier “PR-01” is available in two high-quality surface finishes: anodized silver and anodized black.
Design
- Extremely sturdy enclosure, CNC-milled from a solid block of aluminium
- All surfaces are glass-bead-blasted and then anodized with a highly resistive ceramic coating
- Power supplies mounted on suspended sub-chassis to mechanically isolate them from the audio circuits
- Extremely reduced circuit design with parts chosen in extensive listening tests
Components
- Parts are manually channel-matched to close tolerances and hand-soldered point to point
- Custom made Industrial Precision Potentiometer
- Oversized choke-regulated power supplies and custom made power transformers
- Cryogenically treated internal OFC copper wiring
- Lundahl input and output transformers galvanically isolate the amplifier from the outside world
Usability
- Widely used, reliable tube types ensure future availability
- Precision volume control providing accurate channel synchronization and sensitive volume adjustments down to the lowest volume ranges
- Inputs with different sensitivity allow proper matching of both today’s and vintage audio components
- The ON/OFF switch of the PR-01 can also switch the Power Amp → turn on/off the whole system with one switch
