Sabre is where Ruark began. Four decades after the original loudspeaker carried the young Essex company into British hi-fi, the Sabre-R revives that founding name in a thoroughly modern two-way design: a 26mm silk dome tweeter above a 15cm treated natural fibre mid/bass driver, housed in hand-finished cabinets of fused walnut veneer or satin charcoal lacquer. These are speakers made to be admired as much as heard, with the quiet assurance of furniture-grade craftsmanship.
The R610 Music Console gives the Sabre-R everything a modern system requires from a single, elegantly compact enclosure. Class-D amplification delivers 75 watts per channel, a Burr-Brown DAC handles files up to 32-bit/384kHz, and Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, internet radio and DAB/FM are all built in. A moving magnet phono stage welcomes your turntable, HDMI eARC brings television sound into the same refined presentation, and Ruark’s signature RotoDial controller, together with the crisp five-inch colour display, makes daily use a small daily pleasure.
Designed and voiced together, console and speakers share one design language: slatted wood grilles, tactile metalwork, finishes matched across the pair. Speaker cables are included, so the system arrives ready to play.

What Hi-Fi? awarded the R610 five stars and named this console its best hi-fi system between £1,000 and £1,500 at the 2025 Awards, with readers crowning the same unit their Readers’ Award winner.
