An Ex-Demonstration R410 in Soft Grey
This listing covers one Ruark R410 that has spent time as a demonstration model and is now offered as an individual unit. The cabinet is finished in Soft Grey lacquer with a walnut grille, one of three finishes Ruark offers for the model, and in every technical respect the unit matches a new R410: the same loudspeakers, amplifier and connections.
With only one available, the specifics matter more than usual. Audio Lounge will describe the cosmetic condition, the accessories included and the terms of sale when you get in touch, so the decision rests on facts rather than guesswork.
What Ex-Demonstration Means
An ex-demonstration unit is one that has been used to show a product to customers rather than sold from sealed stock. For a music system such as the R410, that normally means a model that has been played and handled in a listening room. Every detail about this particular unit, from finish to packaging, is confirmed on enquiry. Because the stock is a single unit, the listing closes as soon as the R410 is sold.
Inside the Cabinet
Four drive units sit behind the grille, two NS+ bass-midrange drivers and two silk dome tweeters, powered by 120 watts of digital amplification, so no separate speakers are needed. Bass and treble can be adjusted, and a subwoofer output is provided for deeper bass. The R410 suits a sideboard, bookcase or kitchen shelf and needs only a mains socket and a network connection to start playing.
Streaming arrives through the Connect versions of Qobuz, Spotify and TIDAL, together with AirPlay and Google Cast, while radio comes from DAB, FM and internet tuners. A modern television connects over HDMI eARC, and a record player plugs into the phono input. The full presentation of the model, in all three finishes, is on the Ruark R410 page.

About Ruark
Ruark is a British audio company based in Southend-on-Sea and led by Alan O’Rourke, who founded Ruark Acoustics in the mid-1980s alongside his father, Brian. Loudspeakers came first, followed by radios and compact music systems that brought genuine hi-fi sound into everyday rooms. Every Ruark product is designed and voiced in-house, with the final tuning done by ear, and many early Ruark loudspeakers are still in daily use, a measure of how long Ruark products are built to last. The 100 Series, which includes the R410, brings seventies-inspired design to streaming, radio and vinyl in the home. Discover more Ruark designs.
