A Speaker Stand Designed from the Ground Up

The Blok Axis is a pair of speaker stands built on a simple conviction: a loudspeaker can only be as precise as the platform beneath the cabinet. To Blok, a stand belongs to the system, not to the accessories drawer, so a stand-mounted loudspeaker is held at the right height, perfectly still, and left to perform exactly as the designers of that loudspeaker intended.

Introduced in September 2026, Axis carries the restrained palette and careful detailing of the Stax 2G racks over to the loudspeakers. Placed beside a Blok rack, a pair reads as one considered family; placed anywhere, the stands stay visually quiet and leave the attention with the music.

Three Heights for Three Rooms

Blok builds the Axis in three heights, each matched to a kind of room and loudspeaker. The Axis 500 suits compact rooms and nearfield listening, and Blok points larger standmount loudspeakers towards this lower stand. The Axis 600 is the natural choice for most hi-fi systems and mid-sized standmounts, while the Axis 700 raises smaller loudspeakers to a higher listening position, often in a larger room.

Weight matters as much as height. Blok advises setting heavier loudspeakers on the shorter stands, where the proportions look right and the support is strongest, and Audio Lounge can help match a height to the loudspeakers and the seat.

Isolation Where the Loudspeaker Sits

A steel top plate carries the loudspeaker on integrated rubber isolation feet, which decouple the cabinet from the stand and limit the vibration passing between the two. Less energy travels into the structure, so more of the detail, timing and focus in a recording reaches the listening position.

Beneath the plate, a rigid extruded metal centre pole supplies strength and stability, and Blok’s designers added foam inside the pole to quieten unwanted resonance. Steel spikes then couple a substantial plywood plinth to the floor, giving the whole stand a firm, well-balanced footing.

Optional Mass Loading with IsoFill

Blok designed the Axis to perform well without any filling, yet the hollow centre pole leaves room to go further. Blok IsoFill, sold separately, is a mass-loading material of finished steel hexagonal and round pellets developed for Blok products, and the pellets pour into the pole through the funnel supplied in every IsoFill box.

Added mass increases stability and damps resonance within the stand, which Blok links to tighter bass and greater overall control. Filling remains optional, with the Quick Start Guide setting out each step for those who choose to add IsoFill.

Satin Finishes Edged in Plywood

Two finishes carry the Blok look: satin black with black ash plywood, and satin white with natural ash plywood. Each plinth is chamfered and edged in exposed ply, a warm, tactile contrast against the painted top surface that keeps the design understated without feeling austere.

A chamfered cut-out at the back of the plinth echoes the rear of the Stax 2G shelves, one of the small details that connect the two ranges. Neutral black and white sit easily beside most loudspeaker finishes and interiors, lending the stands the presence of fine furniture rather than a purely technical accessory.

Choosing a Pair at Audio Lounge

The Blok Axis arrives flat-packed as a pair, with the assembly hardware, a hex key and a Quick Start Guide that walks through building the stands, fitting the spikes and positioning the loudspeakers. Blok Floor Guard Discs, sold separately, sit beneath the spikes on hard flooring to protect the surface.

Partnering loudspeakers are gathered in the bookshelf and standmount speakers collection, and a rack in the same design language is the Blok Stax 2G. Audio Lounge can suggest a height and finish to suit the room, and every stand in the shop sits in the speaker stands collection.

About Blok

Blok was born in Saffron Walden, Essex, and has spent more than twenty years at the forefront of British hi-fi furniture design. Today Blok is one of three brands in the Monitor Audio Group, with Monitor Audio and Roksan, and the group’s product designers work across all three brands, with every Blok product developed in-house by the engineering and design teams. Axis, introduced in September 2026, began with a goal that product designer Beth Bailey describes simply: a considered speaker stand that suits a wide range of loudspeakers while staying visually aligned with the Stax 2G range. Questions About the Blok Axis

What is the Blok Axis?

The Blok Axis is a pair of speaker stands from Blok, introduced in September 2026 and made in three heights: Axis 500, Axis 600 and Axis 700. Each stand combines a steel top plate on rubber isolation feet, a mass-fillable extruded metal centre pole and a chamfered plywood plinth on steel spikes. Two finishes are available: satin black with black ash plywood, and satin white with natural ash plywood.

Which Axis height should I choose?

Choose by room, loudspeaker and seat. Blok suggests the Axis 500 for compact rooms, nearfield listening and larger standmount loudspeakers, the Axis 600 for mid-sized standmounts and most hi-fi systems, and the Axis 700 for smaller loudspeakers that need a raised listening position and for larger rooms. Blok also recommends shorter stands for heavier loudspeakers. Audio Lounge can help match a height to your loudspeakers.

How tall are the Blok Axis stands?

With accessories fitted, the Axis 500 stands 547 mm tall, the Axis 600 647 mm and the Axis 700 747 mm. All three share a footprint of 330 x 350 mm and a spike height of 20 mm. Each stand weighs 8.6 kg, 8.9 kg or 9.1 kg respectively, and the box holds a pair.

What size of loudspeaker suits the top plate?

The steel top plate measures 220 x 165 x 4 mm and carries integrated rubber isolation feet beneath the loudspeaker. Blok designed Axis for a wide range of standmount loudspeakers and advises placing heavier models on the shorter stands, for proportion and the best weight support. Audio Lounge can confirm the fit for a particular loudspeaker on enquiry.

Do the Blok Axis stands need filling?

Filling is optional. Blok says the Axis stands perform exceptionally well unfilled, while Blok IsoFill, finished steel hexagonal and round pellets sold separately in 7 kg boxes, can increase stability and reduce resonance for tighter bass and better control. Each IsoFill box includes a filling funnel, and the Quick Start Guide explains the process.

Can the Blok Axis be used on hard floors?

Yes. Blok recommends the supplied steel spikes on carpet, and on hard flooring Blok Floor Guard Discs, made of stainless steel and sold separately, sit beneath the spikes to protect the floor while adding a further layer of isolation. The floor spikes are adjustable, so each stand can be trimmed to sit level.

What comes in the box?

Everything for a pair: two top plates, two centre poles, two base plinths, isolation feet, adjustable floor spikes, the assembly hardware, a 5 mm hex key and the Quick Start Guide. The Blok Axis is supplied flat-packed, and the guide covers building the stands, installing the spikes, fitting Floor Guard Discs, positioning the loudspeakers and adding IsoFill.

Which finishes does the Blok Axis come in?

Two: satin black with black ash plywood, and satin white with natural ash plywood. In each, the painted top surface meets a plinth edged in exposed ply, a detail that adds warmth and contrast. Both finishes come in all three heights, and Audio Lounge will check stock of any height and finish on enquiry.

How does the Blok Axis relate to the Blok Stax 2G?

Blok designed Axis to sit visually with the Blok Stax 2G racks. Both ranges use restrained, versatile palettes with ash plywood details, and the chamfered cut-out on the back of the Axis plinth echoes the rear of the Stax 2G shelves. Together, a rack and a pair of stands read as one family in the room.

How should the Axis stands be cared for?

Clean the plywood with a slightly damp, clean cloth and avoid furniture polish, whose silicone residue gradually alters real wood veneer; a non-abrasive cloth suits the painted and wooden surfaces alike. Natural veneers can shift in tone in strong direct sunlight. Blok covers the Axis with a two-year guarantee against manufacturing or functional defects.
