Exceptional in every Detail.

IE 600 – Exceptional in every Detail. Sennheiser’s IE 600 delivers simply beautiful sound, showcasing the lengths Sennheiser goes to achieve exceptional audio quality. These in-ear devices transcend the detail and emotion of a recording. Each earphone is a masterpiece, featuring hand-finished amorphous metal housing and high-end audio components developed by Sennheiser. Manufactured to strict tolerances, the IE 600 offers a balanced frequency response and extremely durable materials, ensuring clear, natural voicing and a unique aesthetic that retains its good looks for decades.

Balanced, neutral voicing

Sennheiser engineers have carefully tuned the acoustic back volume inside the nozzle of the IE 600 to achieve a natural sound, reminiscent of the neutrality provided by high-end studio monitors.

Discover new accents and details This voicing in the IE 600 lends a presence and intimacy, bringing listeners closer to the music and allowing the discovery of new accents and details. However, achieving this level of poise and naturalness involved overcoming challenges. Simultaneous similar sounds in a track can make it difficult for the human ear to resolve all nuances. The IE 600 integrates dual two chamber absorbers (D2CA), capturing and attenuating these masking frequencies to reveal even the finest textures in music.

Stronger than steel, built to last Amorphous metals have been perfected over many years for manufacturing by researchers.

Lustrous, satiny surface The zirconium alloy from Heraeus Amloy Technologies chosen for the IE 600 is triple the hardness and flexural strength of high-performance steel. Shock-frozen during manufacturing, amorphous metals don’t form a crystalline structure like conventional metals. The result is a lustrous, satiny surface, extraordinarily resistant to corrosion and scratches. New material The housing of the IE 600 is fabricated using metal-powder-based 3D printing, capable of creating any shape within tight tolerances. Chambers and channels form as part of this additive manufacturing process without the need for milling. However, the cost limits the potential applications of this new material. Extraordinary resilience One of the few places, besides ultra-high-end products like the IE 600, where this material is found, is in the drilling head of a NASA Mars Rover, where extraordinary resilience in extreme conditions is required.
