The NAC 332 preamplifier, a digitally controlled, pure analogue centerpiece of your system, meticulously designs each audio stage using discrete transistors, drawing on 50 years of experience in high-performance audio system manufacturing. It features a precision fixed resistor volume control and a class-A headphone amplifier, complete with XLR and RCA outputs.
The NAC 332 expertly combines performance and versatility, allowing easy configuration to align with your audio preferences. You can map any input button to any of the 8 input sockets, including balanced XLR, DIN, and RCA, facilitating simple connections to any audio source. The NAC 332 also features a powered DIN socket for connecting with the NVC TT phono stage. Its front panel is equipped with a ¼ inch headphone socket, backed by a 1.5W state-of-the-art headphone amplifier. Additionally, the rear panel offers twin outputs of XLR and RCA, providing the flexibility to connect to a variety of power amplifiers or to bi-amp.

Under the guidance of Naim’s Technical Director, Naim engineers have innovated electronic circuits to enhance the audio performance of the New Classic products. They have carefully selected top-quality components based on their audio performance, including through-hole resistors used in volume control. The design philosophy of the Statement volume control has been integrated into the NAC 332, employing reed relays to switch between volume resistors. This approach guarantees superior sound quality, adjustable input sensitivity, and the capability to set a maximum volume level.

Bi-directional wireless inter-product communication connects the NAC 332 to the NSS 333 streamer, creating a user experience as effortless as a single-box system. This optical control synchronizes seamlessly with New Classic power amplifiers, like the NAP 350, enhancing ease of use and system integration.
Easy to use
Simplicity is at the heart of the design. The NAC 332 features front panel buttons for quick access to inputs, volume, standby mode, and mute. Its bi-directional ZigBee remote ensures complete control, functioning even without direct line of sight to the product. Moreover, the NAC 332 smartly detects the absence of music and, after 20 minutes, automatically transitions the system into a 0.5W standby mode.
The story of Naim and aluminium
Naim’s founder, Julian Vereker, quickly recognized the advantages of aluminum as a material for encasing Naim electronic components. He was aware that delicate audio components are highly susceptible to the effects of magnetic fields, unstable temperatures, unwanted vibrations, and similar disturbances.
