It employs the same amplifier stage as the multi-award-winning Brio, now configured to run at 30 W per channel into 8 Ω. The io includes two line-level inputs, a high-specification Rega moving magnet phono stage, and a dedicated high-quality headphone output. Seamlessly integrating into any home audio system, the io remains simple to use and easy to set up—a must for demonstration.
Because music matters
The io utilises the same power amplifier and phono stage as its larger counterpart, the multi-award-winning Brio. It aims to deliver exceptional sound quality in a more compact and cost-effective package. The class A/B circuit shares its DNA with the rest of Rega’s amplifiers, with meticulous attention to component selection. Featuring Sanken output transistors, an Alps volume potentiometer, and a linear power supply, it achieves an output of 30 watts per channel into 8 Ω. The unit provides two line-level inputs and a high-quality moving magnet phono input. A headphone output on the front, designed to power standard hi-fi headphones, is driven from the power amplifier stage through relays to prevent signal degradation during headphone insertion or muting. The product includes a newly redesigned mini remote handset.
