The LYNX showcases the latest iteration of Rockport’s world-class enclosures, featuring the all-new DAMSTIF3™ technology—a single, massive aluminum casting that ensures maximum structural integrity.
One of the remarkable aspects of the LYNX is how Rockport has incorporated elements from their flagship LYRA model into a design that fits seamlessly into any home environment. The advanced DAMSTIF3 enclosure, which is devoid of any joinery or fasteners, significantly reduces enclosure-induced noise. This results in a low noise floor, exceptional dynamic range, and the ability to retrieve even the most subtle musical details.
The Rockport LYNX, a direct descendant of the LYRA, features a custom 10-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone woofer, a new 6-inch carbon fiber sandwich cone midrange, and a 1-inch waveguide-loaded beryllium tweeter. This driver array delivers authoritative first octave bass with abundant headroom and agility, an ultra-transparent midrange rich in tonal colours and texture, and high frequencies that are both pure and dynamically realistic.
The waveguide improves the acoustic impedance match of the tweeter at the lower end of its range, allowing for lower distortion, greater dynamic expression, and enhanced dispersion at the midrange/tweeter crossover. Precision diamond-machined and anodised, it offers a striking 3-D luster and an ideal mounting surface for the tweeter.
